The app has three tabs along the bottom: Home, Phone, and a magnifying glass that opens the Search tab. Home is the day. Phone is the line. Everything else in the app lives behind the magnifying glass.

Home

Home is the technician’s day, not a menu. It shows the month, a week strip, and the day laid out by the hour with a card for each stop. The toolbar shows the weather for where you are. A stop card carries the customer’s name and the service type. Tap it and it expands to the address, with Directions and Work order. Tap Work order and you are on the job.

The Search tab

Twenty-two rows in five groups, with Agent on its own at the top. The tab is the app’s table of contents. Three rows need a word of their own.
  • Agent is where you talk to the assistant (Glossary): ask it to make a change, or ask the equipment manuals a question. It opens over the whole screen rather than pushing, because it is a conversation you step into and back out of.
  • Route draws the day’s stops on a map in the order you drive them, and lets you reorder them.
  • Mail is the queue of replies the assistant has drafted to customer email. You open one, then send it or discard it.
Approvals shows only for an admin or a super admin; everyone else sees four rows under You.

What the numbers next to a row mean

A number counts what is still waiting on you, not the total. A row with no number has nothing outstanding, which is not the same as having nothing at all. Voicemail shows no number when every message has been listened to, even though the messages are still there. The search box at the bottom of the tab searches across the app at once and groups what it finds: Contacts, Jobs, Equipment, Tasks, Notes, Suppliers, Messages, Voicemail, Callbacks and Screens. Type a customer’s surname and you get the person, their job and their equipment in one list. Type a work order number and you get that job. Type part of a serial and you get the equipment. Type a screen’s name and you get the screen. Results appear a moment after you stop typing. Search looks first in what your phone already holds, then asks the engine, so a list that grows a second later is normal.

Hours, and signing out

Hours is empty for the owner, and says so: the owner approves hours and does not file them. Technicians see their pay period there instead; see File hours and request time off. Signing out is in Profile.
