Before you start
- The job open in the app, on the work order.
- The office has attached a checklist to the appointment. If none is attached there is nothing under Forms, and nobody can add one from the app.
- Your meters, and the equipment’s rating plate. Every question wants a number.
Steps
1
Open the form
On the work order, tap the Required actions ring, then Forms, then the checklist’s name. The header counts your progress, like 3 of 8 answered.
2
Answer a question
Tap a question. It opens in place with a box for the value and its unit beside it. Type the reading and move on to the next one.
3
Repeat until every question is answered
The first answer moves the checklist to in progress. The last one completes it and stamps the time.
A reading outside the expected band
A question with a band only takes a number inside it. Type 241 volts into a question that expects 108 to 132 and the app shows Enter 132 or less in red under the box and does not save the value. If the reading really is out of spec, that is the finding: write it in the completion note and tell the office. Questions without a band take any number.Change or remove an answer
Tap the question again and type over the value. To clear it, empty the box. Press and hold the value, choose Select All, then delete. There is no clear button. Clearing an answer on a finished checklist puts it back to in progress and removes the completion time. Fill the question in again and it completes once more. With no signal
Answers you give with no signal are held on the phone. A bar at the bottom of the app says how many changes are waiting to send, with a Retry button. When you get signal back, tap Retry and they send. Confirm the bar is gone before you leave site. How you know it worked
- The ring on the work order climbs, and the header counts up.
- The checklist shows Completed with the time.
- The office sees a checklist submission against the job in Zoho, linked to the template, the appointment and you, with the time you finished it.
The Zoho record carries the completion, not the numbers. Your readings live in the app and on our side, and they go onto the job’s certificate. If the office needs a value, they read it there or you tell them.
